Bordered by the tips of cliffs and sand dunes of around 15 meters high and almost one kilometer long. This beach owes its name to the winner of the Nobel Prize for Literature, Ernest Hemingway, who was a regular visitor to the area on his boat Pilar. This is a beach with incredibly fine white sand and a warm blue-green waters. Opposite Playa Pilar is the key of Media Luna, a wonderful option for diving and snorkeling.

On the northwestern tip of Cayo Coco, El Bagá is a natural theme park where the visitor has a path that leads to the most native flora and fauna in the region, as well as aspects of traditional culture and various facets of the history and culture of Cuba, from the native inhabitants to the present day. Visitors will be able to watch populations of Bagá trees in their natural environment, covered by orchids and "curujey" and enjoy watching a large number of endemic species, including iguanas, hutias, tortoises, crocodiles, fish and turtles.
