Mambo Club

If you’re in the mood for some mambo, dance the night away to the energetic live music here. The mambo rhythms emanating from the orchestra will have everyone up dancing. If you don't know how, there's an instructor on hand. The entire place is, in fact, a throwback to the '50s. This nostalgic venue still has the dramatic two-level stage for dancers to descend.

Cave of Ambrosio

Discovered in the 1960s, this cave contains aboriginal drawings of concentric circles and other pre-Columbian symbols, thought to be more than 3,000 years old, that reveal the customs of the area’s indigenous population, located in the Varahicacos natural park. The primitive pictographs and carsic formations in the Cave of Ambrosio are surprising. The first one is a 250-meter-long cave with five interconnected galleries. To get to the cave entrance, you must follow a shady path 300 meters (990 feet).

Ecological Reserve Varahicacos

Several years ago the most oriental part of the Hicacos Peninsula was designated an ecological reserve so as to protect its flora and fauna. In this area stands El Patriarca, a gigantic cactus more than 500 years old. This project also preserves numerous caves where evidence of the first inhabitants of the island can be seen.
