Surrounded by a large natural lake, inhabited by native flamingos, and bridges connecting the a la carte restaurants and bars, the Tryp Cayo Coco is large andspacious, distinguished for its double lobby, one with views of the pool and lobby bar and the beautiful beach, and another lobby, on the ground floor with areas with artisan crafts and sweet and candy floss trolleys, stage, event spaces and gardens.

Parador la Silla

Just before you reach Cayo Coco along the causeway, this parador is an ideal spot for observing the important mangrove ecosystems, the habitat for numerous colonies of pink flamingos. Prime flamingo-watching season is April to November, when they congregate at the Laguna de los Flamencos.

This lagoon is located between Moron City and Jardines del Rey Tourist polo and is the largest natural reservoir in Cuba, with a surface area of 66 km2. It provides a haven for flamingos and a variety of other bird species as Tocororo, carpintero churroso, Mayito de Ciénaga, cernícalo, aura tiñosa, zunzún, martín pescador, falcón, gavilán del monte, and some migratory as huyuyo duck.

In a former settlement of coal workers and with horse riding trails, rural festivals and a path with a low level of difficulty. Three ecosystems can be seen: evergreen forest, mangrove forest and inland lagoons with their respective fauna.
