A 45-minute boat ride southeast of the Ancon Peninsula takes you to Cayo Blanco, with its white-sand beach and vast coral reef offshore with concentrations of Black Coral (Antipathes salix), a wide range of sponges, gorgonians and tropical fish. The Cayo Blanco Scuba Diving Center offers reef, wall and night Scuba-diving courses, including specialties equipment rental. A tour is the easiest way to get here. Several boats visit the island on day trips offered by local hotels and tour operators.
